The Dog Box is an amusing game that develops puzzle solving skills. When your dog puts toy blocks into the box via a hole on the top they receive a reward of dog treats falling out the bottom.

Place several dog treats on top of each other on the rubber edging on the slopping board inside the box. Place a toy block (which is supplied) or a ball on the top of the box close to the hole. Encourage your dog to tap the toy block or ball with their nose or paw into the hole so that the dog treats then fall out the bottom. If they try to put their nose into the hole or bash the box with their paw, place your hand over the hole and point them towards the toy block or ball.

Once they have worked out how to do that, place the toy block on the floor in front of the Dog Box and encourage them to "fetch" the block and then to "drop" it into the dog box.

When your dog understands how to play the game, you can make it even harder by:

• Replace the upper board with one of the other two boards (three supplied in total) which has a different shaped/sized hole to put the toy block through.
• Hide the toy block so they have to find it first before using it with the Dog Box.
